I was familiar with the rule of thirds before this weeks assignment. I think that it is a easy way to get better pictures. In my two pictures I think that the second one is a lot stronger than the first one.
Hi Cody I agree the second one allows us to see and focus on the landscape, and after we are able to know that the person is seeing the beauty also. In the top one your eye looks at the person first, then you try to look on either side of him to see the landscape. It is like he is in the way instead of being included. Thanks Maria
Good job with the pictures. It gives a good idea of what you are trying to do. I love the view wish I was on a top of a mountain to take photos like that. Makes me want to take a road trip to Killington. I like the 2nd one better I can see the view better.
Cody, I really like your photos! and I agree with you and Maria and Paula I perfer the second over the first. The small amounts of color in the blue of the sky also draws you forward into the picture.
Cody, I think you did a great job in choosing the shots for the rule of thirds. I also agree that the second picture is stronger then the first. It is that in the first picture the person is more of the focus and then in the second it really draws your eye to the landscape more. Good job!
Cody, These pictures are great. I really like the one with the person to the side. I think this picture gives the viewer a glimpse of what they person is looking at.
The rule of thirds really helps to create more of a story in your photographs. When you center the subject, you are basically telling the viewer, this is all I want you to know about. When you put the subject in one of the thirds areas, you are telling the viewer hey I got this really cool thing going on and it is part of all of this. Great job with these!
Cody, you did a great job with these photos. My favorite is the second one. It shows a better view of the scenery and you still see the person looking out. Good job!
